Stress-Free Holiday Planning with ABWA
Thursday, November 14, 2013 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM (EST)
Hurry before it's too late to sign up for ABWA's latest luncheon! Registration closes TODAY, Tuesday November 12th at Noon! Already signed up? THANK YOU! Feel free to forward this to friends who would enjoy networking with us, a scrumptious lunch and hearing an interesting guest speaker!
At this meeting, we will learn about:
STRESS FREE HOLIDAY PLANNING
In this talk we will learn how to tackle holiday preparations and still maintain peace of mind. The presentation will teach participants how to budget time so as not be up all night cooking, how to plan to have plenty of food without drowning in leftovers, how to increase efficiency in the kitchen, as well as how to allocate time for non-cooking holiday preparations. Prepare for the holidays with less stress so you’re not too tired to actually enjoy them when they arrive!
Meet Our Guest Speaker:
They say you should do what you love. It just so happens that Renée Kutner loves doing something many people find daunting, and even dreadful: organizing. So she founded Peace by Piece Organizing to bring order to chaos, and peace to our otherwise hectic lives.
Ask anyone who’s crossed Renée’s professional path and they’ll tell you no one they know could get so much done with so little on their desk. It became a trademark of sorts — so much so that starting early in her career, years before envisioning the formation of Peace by Piece Organizing, Renée was conducting workshops for peers and supervisors alike on efficient time and project management.
Prior to working as a Professional Organizer, Renée spent almost ten years in advertising and marketing, taking a short break to receive her MBA from UCLA.
Despite the allure of photo shoots and TV production, Renée’s favorite part of advertising was actually the organizational challenge of turning mounds of client input into actionable strategies for effective advertising and marketing campaigns. All while maintaining day-to-day project management of hundreds of ad production jobs across multiple clients.
Using that unique simultaneous macro and micro perspective, Renée helps clients envision ideal organizational systems that will make their lives easier, and takes all necessary steps to make these ideas a living reality. And she continues to enjoy the creative outlet of designing a new space, not so different from the creative outlet of ad design.
Renée’s organizational skills are also the reason Renée successfully works, raises three small children and volunteers on multiple boards and committees within her community, while continually maintaining a house that looks like she spends all day organizing herself instead of her clients.
Renée is a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) and serves as Professional Development Director on the board of the Georgia chapter of NAPO.
Info for Attendees:
The chef at 5 Seasons prepares a delicious hot buffet lunch especially for us each month. Because he custom-shops for us, he needs a head count by early Tuesday afternoon. So please RSVP by noon on Tuesday, November 12.
Be sure to bring plenty of business cards with you. We pass around a box that holds all of our members' cards, plus the current visitors' cards, so you can take the ones you would like.
Everyone in attendance will be able to stand up and give a 60-second infominute on her business. And a previously-selected member will be featured in a live 10-minute interview, or "Member Spotlight".
After we hear from our fabulous speaker, we will have a few minutes for people to share brief, current testimonials for people in the room. This is a nice way to close the meeting: you can feel the energy and realize the valuable business relationships that have begun at our monthly meetings.
And of course, we'll end with door prizes.
Hope to see you soon!
p.s. Our recently-revamped website has lots of details about our ABWA chapter (ELEN) and contact info for previous guest speakers.
