Description

This NIHR funded symposium will explore the links between stress and periodontal disease.


We will be discussing the new 2017 classification for periodontal disease. Examining the role of psychological stress in disease onset and progression and considering the evidence to support practical interventions which can be applied directly to patients.


The symposium will have a multi-disciplinary approach with presentations from leading international experts including:

Prof Francis Hughes, Professor of Periodontology

Director, Molecular Immunopharmacology and Drug Discovery
