Description

At the end of the training, you will:

  • Feel confident framing, sharing, and delivering your story in an unbiased and safe way.
  • Know how to deal with personal triggers, multiple audience dynamics, and potential responses and reactions.
  • Be connected with a network of people who use their personal stories to build understanding and break down stigma about opioid use.
  • Receive a certificate of completion from the Provincial System Support Program at CAMH.

Cost - FREE. An honorarium of $150 will be provided and reasonable travel expenses will be covered. Breakfast and lunch are included.

Eligibility

  • Lived experience of opioid misuse (self, family, or significant other).
  • Interested in sharing your story publicly to build understanding and break down stigma.
  • Have achieved a significant level of recovery.

*Please note that, depending on the number of applications, not every person who applies will be accepted as a participant.
