Event description

Description

Strengthening Families Program is a nationally recognized evidence based prevention program for the entire family. This program improves family relationships by teaching parents and teens the tools they need to make healthy decisions. This program is available free of charge to Morgan County families with children ages 12 to 18 (the program is made available to residents through our grant funding). This program is designed to help all families, it is especially helpful for families experiencing difficult transitions, parents facing challenges in setting boundaries, and families struggling to communicate with each other. Participants learn skills in communication, problem solving, goal setting, discussing difficult (but necessary) topics, healthy relationships, setting boundaries, and rewarding the things you want to happen more often and more.

We want to share this program with you and allow you to experience a little of what it is like for participants who come through the program. This will give you a better frame of reference for referring families to us. So please join us for lunch (we will provide the meal) and allow us to take you through an abbreviated session of Strengthening Families. We love this program and we know that you will too!
