Strengthening holistic development of Black children through culturally appropriate practices in emotional wellness & trauma informed care

About this Event

Black Child Development Institute (BCDI)-Atlanta, in partnership with United Way of Greater Atlanta, The Fulton-DeKalb Hospital Authority and Institute for Successful Leadership, is offering this one-day professional development event focused on strengthening the holistic development of Black children through culturally appropriate practices in emotional wellness and trauma informed care.

Promptly at 9 AM, join us for a meditation moment by Educator & Human Rights Activist The Reverend Nontombi Naomi Tutu, the third child of Archbishop Desmond and Nomalizo Leah Tutu.

Plenaries followed by three concurrent sessions will be offered for:

  1. Emotional Development
  2. Organizational Leadership
  3. Parents & Families

During lunch time, participants will experience a 60-minute film screening, followed by a panel discussion and Q&A.

Participants will earn clock hours for completed sessions.
