STRENGTH IN MOTION

A day of fitness to support Gibney Dance

Join New York Health & Racquet Club and Gibney Dance on Saturday, October 28th for STRENGTH IN MOTION, a day of fitness to raise awareness about domestic violence.

From 9:30am-4:30pm, New York Health & Racquet Club’s Whitehall location will offer exclusive group fitness classes throughout the day. Each class is $20 with all proceeds benefiting Gibney Dance’s Community Action initiative, a groundbreaking program that uses movement to empower survivors of intimate partner violence.

All classes are open to both NYHRC members and non-members. Refreshments provided by MISHA and CAVA.


9:30 AM

Boot Camp with Celine Desgranges

An intense strength training workout that combines strength intervals with cardio segments.


Cycling with Corey Schadeck

An indoor cycling workout that targets and strengthens the glutes, quads, hamstrings, and calves.


Pilates with Linda Hazan

A total body workout that restores muscular balance and strengthens and stretches the body.

30/60/90® with Corey Schadeck

A scientifically combined series of cardio drills in a high intensity training format.


The METRIX with Celine Desgranges

Isometrics meet Plyometrics with a dash of Pilates.

11:30 AM

Caribbean Heat (dance) with Lanoa Curry

A non-stop high intensity cardio dance workout set to the latest dance hall and soca tracks.

12:30 PM

Yoga with Ela Connolly

Vinyasa yoga with emphasis on linking breath with movement, strength, and form.



2:30 PM

Cycling with Rosa Puerto

An indoor cycling workout that targets and strengthens the glutes, quads, hamstrings, and calves.


PlyoJAM® with Ebonny Fowler

High energy aerobic dance fused with plyometric training.



3:30 PM

Cycling with Felicia Walker

An indoor cycling workout that targets and strengthens the glutes, quads, hamstrings, and calves.
