In this presentation titled after her popular book Street Photography: First Steps and Beyond, Valérie will give an overview of the different ways to approach street photography. She will go over the ethical aspect of this popular genre of photography, the do’s & don’ts and how to get over the fear of photographing strangers in the streets. Through examples from her body of work, Valerie will show you different techniques to tell a story in a frame and ways to make stronger street photographs. You will leave this presentation with a renewed vision.

Bio: Valérie Jardin is a French photographer, instructor, author and podcaster. She leads international photo workshops and hosts the weekly podcast Hit The Streets With Valérie Jardin. Her book Street Photography: First Steps and Beyond has helped thousands of photographers make stronger storytelling images. Valérie was voted one of the 20 most influential street photographers of 2015 and 2016 and her work has been published worldwide.
