Event description
Join us as we ride as one city in the fight for peace in Chicago - come share in the love and positivity at our 2nd annual Street Love Ride!

About this Event

Our team’s annual North Lawndale Bike Ride for Peace evolved into a citywide cycling phenomenon in 2020, when more than 400 riders from across Chicago showed up for our inaugural Street Love Ride.

The goal was to show the streets some love, but it was more than reciprocated by residents who honked their horns, raised their fists, and cheered at the ride’s positivity.

We felt the love on that ride, and it deepened our belief that that our city stands strongest in the fight against violence when we stand as one. Come join the phenomenon as we gather in love and positivity for our 2nd annual Street Love Ride!

There will be a community expo from 5pm - 8pm - come for snacks, music, and community, or to check out the tables! - and a winding approx. 9-mile ride through the streets of North Lawndale starting at 8pm.

Feel Chicago love like you've never experienced, and help spread some love on the West side. See you there!

Reserve your event t-shirt now! $12 online, $15 on-site.

Much gratitude to our planning partners at Equiticity, Ride Illinois, Working Bikes, and the Lawndale Christian Fitness Center, and for the support of St. Agatha Church!

Covid-19 information: We anticipate that covid-19 will still be impacting Chicago for this ride. Our expo will be set up to facilitate social distancing. We expect participants to wear masks and respect the space of others. While we believe that bicycling is one of the activities most conducive to maintaining social distance and will do our best to allow spacing on the ride, other safety considerations may result in cyclists "massing up"; if this is a concern, we ask that you consider placing yourself near the rear of the ride where it will likely be easier to control the distance between yourself and others. And, if you are experiencing any symptoms of covid, please stay home - we still love you and look forward to seeing you in 2022!
