ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:

This workshop will address working with high conflict couples, giving participants general tools to manage couples who bring high levels of emotion and conflict into the therapy process. Participants will be given an overview of one of the most common and difficult issues that couples encounter: infidelity. We will discuss how to work with couples and families at any stage of reconciliation or discovery of infidelity. The session will explore definitions of infidelity, reasons why it occurs, practical tools for clinicians to use in working with families and couples experiencing this issue, and common barriers to reconciliation.

When: February 22, 2019

Time: 9:00 am - 11:00 - Presentation

11:00 am - 12:00 pm - Optional case consultation with additional 1 CEU

CEU's: 2-3 hours (workshop meets all KSBSRB guidelines)

Cost: $50.00 (2 CEU's)

ABOUT THE PRESENTER:

Paul Busk, MS, LCMFT has experience working with families, individuals, and adolescents struggling with depression, anxiety, personality disorders, sexuality concerns, and establishing personal values. Paul incorporates strategies gained from Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques. Paul received his Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Kansas State University.
