Enjoy two engaging workshops in one day!! Come join us for a day of learning and fun activities.

Workshop 1: 9:00 am-12:00 noon — Observing with an Equity Lens

Quality observations communicate each child's differences in the form of strengths, interests, and their own lived experiences. In this workshop, we will discuss how educators can enhance their powers of observation. All educators are observers in this dynamic workshop. Educators will gain strategies for embedding equity-focused observation techniques to elevate their current observation practices.

Workshop 2: 1:00-4:00 pm — Flexible Environments: An Inclusive Approach

A flexible learning environment makes room for a child’s voice and choice. This interactive hands-on workshop will bring in the practices of STEM and Loose Parts to support early childhood educators in designing equitable and inclusive (indoor and outdoor) environments for all children. We will discuss practical tips for developing environments that promote exploration, creativity, and academic skills.
