About this Event

Description: In this session we will look at a model that integrates and scaffolds the use of quantitative information in order to develop strong readers and writers in the content area classroom. We will focus on the elements of scientific argumentation that can help learners articulate their reasoning, explore ideas and share the perspectives of others while at the same time refining a shared understanding of difficult concepts. We will demonstrate how to use Google Docs and Padlet for student and teacher interactions synchronously and asynchronously.

Audience: Instructional staff, coordinators, program directors and tutors.
