California's Long-Term Energy Efficiency Strategic Plan:
Local Government Chapter Update
September 2013 Workshops
9:30am - 3:30pm
The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) is in the process of updating the California Long-term Energy Efficiency Strategic Plan. First published in 2008, the Strategic Plan outlines energy goals and efficiency strategies for key market sectors, including local governments. Patrick Stoner, the California’s Statewide Local Government Energy Efficiency Best Practices Coordinator, is helping the CPUC update the Local Government Chapter of the Strategic Plan by soliciting input from local governments across the state.
The update to the Local Government Chapter is especially important as energy efficiency stakeholders prepare for the next round of utility energy efficiency programs starting in 2015. The new ‘menu of strategic planning strategies’ for which local governments can receive funding will be developed from this revised local government chapter.
The CPUC, Patrick Stoner, the Local Government Commission and California’s Four Investor Owned Utilities, would like to invite you to participate in one of our upcoming workshops or a statewide webcast, that will connect several regions across the State, to share your feedback and provide input about the Local Government Chapter of the Strategic Plan. Please note that we will utilize the same agenda at all of the following locations.
