Strategic Communications Session #1 | Build Up California
Event Information
About this Event
This is the first of two sessions that are part of our Strategic Communications for ECE Facilities Advocacy Project.
We are working with Berkeley Media Studies Group (BMSG) on this project, which includes two facilitated interactive workshops where we will bring our minds together to craft effective advocacy messages for these times that will resonate with the public and policy-makers. Based on these sessions, BMSG will create a communications tool for us (e.g., Core Messaging Document) that we can use as an advocacy tool. The project will also include some hours of technical assistance.
* By Invitation Only - This session is limited to 20 participants. If you would like to apply to participate, please share your contact information using this invitation and we will follow-up with you. *
About Session #1: Building a foundation for strategic communications
This initial 2-hour online training will familiarize all participants with BMSG’s
approach to strategic communications and establish a shared language
around strategy and framing.
Proposed learning objectives - By the end of the training, participants will be
able to:
• Outline an overall strategy to guide their communications;
• Frame early care and education facilities infrastructure in a way that supports upstream solutions and systemic change; and
• Identify the key components of a strategic message.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to share it. We hope to have you with us in this productive session! For more information, please contact:
