Event description

Description

We invite you to join the discussion about body image, diversity and representation on November 6, when we'll kick off Media Literacy Week 2017 with a major screening event in partnership with the documentary film Straight/Curve: Redefining Body Image.
On November 6th we are hosting a special screening of the game changing documentary at 7PM, followed by a LIVE WEBCAST Q&A from the Lowenstein Building at Fordham University's Lincoln Center campus at 8.45PM. There will be an exceptional panel of body image experts answering questions on the night and the panel will be moderated by Bustle. You'll be invited to ask questions and have some answered live. The panel will be webcast live into colleges, schools, universities and community groups all across the US and Canada so YOU can be a part of a larger conversation about body image.
In a world where 90% of women and young girls say they do not feel represented in the fashion industry or in media, this film is needed now more than ever. Straight/Curve: Redefining Body Image premiered onEPIX in June to great acclaim, and the filmmakers are now working to bring the documentary to schools, universities and communities, where it is needed most.
