Join us on the patio for a double-dinosaur storytime!

Join us on the patio for a double-dinosaur storytime! We’re incredibly dino-xcited to welcome three (!) New York Times–bestselling creators—and their new dinosaur-themed books—to storytime!

Suzanne Lang (author of the beloved “Grumpy Monkey” franchise) will share “Archibald and the Furry Dinosaurs,” the story of Archibald, the only bald dinosaur in the world. And author Rachel Ignotofsky will share her latest, “Dinosaurs: Exploring Prehistoric Life and Geological Time,” an entertaining, educational, and strikingly illustrated guide to Earth’s prehistoric eras and animals.

Illustrator Max Lang will join Rachel in leading a drawing activity, and we’ll also have dinosaur-themed coloring sheets on hand.

MORE ON “ARCHIBALD AND THE FURRY DINOSAURS”:

Long ago, in the time of prehistoric preening, all dinosaurs have fur. All except for one. Meet Archibald.

When Archibald embarks on a dangerous quest to find his lost locks, he encounters danger at every turn. Along the way, he outwits the clever Woollyciraptors, rescues two dinosaurs from getting eaten, and even encounters the dreaded Furannosaurus Rex! While he may not end this story with even a strand of hair on his head, he does begin to see that his life is wonderful as it is. As he discovers, it’s better to focus on what you do have, not on what you don’t.

MORE ON “DINOSAURS”:

With an exciting blend of vivid artwork and astonishing scientific facts, Dinosaurs journeys through Earth’s inhospitable origins, when the only life-forms were single-celled organisms, to the beginnings of life as we know it.

Experience earth history like you’ve never seen it before with infographics, maps, and illustrations that bring fascinating extinct animals to life. Rachel Ignotofsky makes paleontology accessible and entertaining for readers of all ages in this stunningly illustrated journey across more than 4.5 billion years.
