Event description

Description

Join us for a special evening of storytelling with Rafe Martin, the renowned storyteller and Zen teacher in the Harada Yasutani koan line. Rafe’s performances have been featured at the National Storytelling Festival, the Joseph Campbell Foundation Festival of Myth. Rafe will be joined that evening by Sandong Kurt Iselt, and Haju Sunim of the Ann Arbor Zen Buddhist Temple. The performance will begin at 7pm and run approximately two hours. This will be an all-ages event; proceeds will support the Generations Project at the Ann Arbor Zen Buddhist Temple.

For those wishing to dig deeper into the nuts and bolts of storytelling, Rafe will also lead a storytelling workshop during the day for those who would like to learn the art of storytelling, or to enhance their skills. The workshop portion is 10am - noon, is intended for people 16 years and older and requires additional registration from the evening performance. Please contact the temple if you have questions.
