Bay Area storytelling fans, we are in for a treat! In an intimate house concert, Dovie Thomason, one of the country's most respected and honored voices will be here to share wise and boisterous tales from her Lakota and Kiowa Apache relations. Adding stories from her own life, Dovie creates a contemporary vision of her culture with understanding, sly humor and astonishing vocal transformations.

Limited seating: only 20 tickets will be sold.

The concert will take place in a private home in Oakland, California. Directions to the event will be sent via email after purchasing your ticket.

An award-winning storyteller, recording artist and author, Dovie has been a featured teller at the National Storytelling Festival, the Kennedy Center, the Smithsonian Institute, the Barbican in London, and Shakespear's Globe Theater.

She has been honored as a Master Traditional Teaching Artist by the National Endowment for the Arts, a Parent's Choice Gold Award recipient, and the National Storytelling Network's ORACLE: Circle of Excellence Award
