Event description

Description

Stories make up the world around us - outside of us and inside of us. They frame the way we see birth and are key in framing our experiences with resiliency or trauma. This 5-week course delves into personal and traditional storytelling and ways we can begin to utilize inner tools for developing intuition while helping guide women on their transformative journey. Explore somatic awareness of being in the birth space, the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system and the flight/fight freeze response, grief, the medial woman between the soul world and the institutional world, the transformative nature of story for both the birth worker and the family, and the healing tradition of story. The first 3 classes will be in the classroom. The last 2 will be by the fireside. Please inquire with the organizer about available scholarships and applications.

I have recieved 10 hours of MEAC CEUs in the past. If you are interested in me applying for them, please let me know.
