Event Details

                                                                        Sarah Tullamore

Sarah Tullamore has always liked a challenge! Whether it’s climbing Mount Fuji, travelling solo to Papua New Guinea trying not to get eaten by cannibals or being the first woman to write a one-woman comédie musicale in French (Estelle Bright). If she can make people laugh in a foreign language, she’ll find a way to do it! Writing her latest one-woman musical “London-Paris-Roam!” this time in Paris on Tuesday October 9th followed by dates in the US with all original music was no exception.
Sarah, now an accomplished singer, actress and vocal coach had an unconventional route to the stage. Not totally content in her early years with travelling, speaking four languages and teaching English, she decided she could no longer ignore the gnawing feeling deep down inside: singing and acting was what she really should have been doing all along! So she set about making this happen, retaking classes and drawing on the experience of amateur concerts, plays, shows and singing lessons of her formative years in England to propel her into her chosen profession and passion.
25 years later, Sarah has performed in numerous musicals in France (Sweeney Todd - Opéra de Toulon; Sister Act - Théâtre Mogador; La Vie Parisienne - Théâtre Antoine/Théâtre de Paris; John of Arc - XXème Théâtre,; Parce que je vous aime – La Nouvelle Eve; Alice in Wonderland and Pocahontas – Disney; Estelle Bright – Paris fait sa Comédie/Just for Laughs Atlantique) as well as being one of the lead singers at The Moulin Rouge. She has starred in two Broadway compilation tours of Japan and, in the UK, performed in Singin’ in the Rain (Kilworth House), Jog On! (Soho Theatre) and Echos (Tristan Bates Theatre). She is the creator of two jazz groups (“The Jazzberries” and “Le Cinq’tet") and is also a sought-after voice-over actress and vocal coach.
However, it’s not enough just to appear in other people’s shows. There are times when she has to write her own! Especially when the urge to express something is too strong to ignore. Which brings us to “London-Paris-Roam!” A show that would seem to be the logical follow-up to Estelle Bright and the culmination of 25 years of travelling, singing, loving, laughing and… well, living, tout simplement. A show “to take stock” of one’s life thus far whilst also a tribute to the “city of lights”, to delicious food and wine and even to the “women (and men) of a certain age” that we all eventually become. Whilst remaining resolutely turned towards the future, whatever it may hold.
So, if laughs, nostalgia, fab original tunes and great wine are your thing and you would like to hear more from Sarah about her artistic journey and her forthcoming performances of London-Paris-Roam! in Paris and abroad, then do please come on down to this Storytelling Evening. It will be lovely to see you.
Dinner will be a 5-course meal  starting with champagne and canapes, followed by soup, main course, side dishes and dessert. Beverages will also include red and white wine, cremant, beer, tea and coffee. The location is at my residence and will be livestreamed on Facebook.
                                                                      Yours in Story,
                                                                                      Bernadette
