StoryCode: San Francisco
Monday, December 16, 2013 from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM (PST)
San Francisco, CA
StoryCodeSF is a series of monthly presentations by writers, developers, and producers of compelling stories using new media platforms. Our San Francisco chapter is one of many StoryCode meetups held around the globe (www.storycode.org.)
Our first meetup of 21st century storytellers will feature Daniel Burwen of Cognito Comics in a presentation of OPERATION AJAX (www.operationajax.com). This interactive graphic novel tells the true story of a CIA operative in post-WWII Iran and has been called "One of the coolest media experiences on the iPad" by the New York Times. Daniel will crack open his team's creative process, detailing strategies and lessons learned.
Doors @ 6:30. The presentation will be an hour with questions afterward.

Hope you enjoyed the last StoryCodeSF Event in December. Great discussion and pretty deep look at how an interactive graphic novel was invented. You can see full video of Daniel Burwen's "Operation Ajax" talk here https://www.facebook.com/StoryCodeSF. Thanks again, Daniel, for getting this party started right.
Speaking of Daniel, and speaking of speakers...we need your suggestions! The major goal of StoryCodeSF is to create a thoughful, supportive group of interactive storytellers in the Bay Area. And the speakers set the tone for community. Please reply to this email with speaker suggestions or other activities you think we should look into (hack days, awards, etc.) or, better yet, fill out this quick form online:
