Story Type & Narrative Intelligence Training March 2017
Wed, Mar 29, 2017, 9:00 AM – Fri, Mar 31, 2017, 4:00 PM EDT
During this content-packed training, participants will learn how to use story-based motivational theory and a dynamic approach for leveraging it with individuals, teams and groups. They’ll also be trained to administer, interpret and coach with the Professional Strengths, Values and Story Survey (a versatile tool that measures how much individual or group strengths and values reflect the attitudes of 12 universally known characters/archetypes, or “story types”).
We all love stories—but they do far more than entertain or amuse us. More than any other form, narratives capture patterns of meaning and motivation that define almost everything that goes on within and around us. The characters (or story types) that resonate most offer profound clues about who we are, what we believe and how we’ll behave.
Practitioners trained in story typing say that it's one of the most engaging and powerful methods they've found to help clients quickly translate insights about their core motivational drivers, strengths and values into sustainable action. They also value it as one of the most scalable methods available for helping team members understand each other as individuals while strengthening how they work together as a collective.
