Positive touch is known to stimulate oxytocin, the body’s feel good hormone. This has known benefits including increased trust, decreased violence and aggression and supports the development of a stronger immune system. Story Massage has been developed by Mary Atkinson and Sandra Hooper and is a fun and interactive way of combining the creativity of story telling with the known benefits of massage. Everyone can join in, whatever their age or ability.
During this workshop you will learn about the 10 basic massage strokes and learn of the range of applications in your setting or with your own children. Please note, this training is an introduction only. For accredited instructor training, please visit the Story Massage Website.
