STORIES x SOUP

HI SOUP and Da Shop Community Bookstore have partnered to host STORIES x SOUP! A community micro-granting dinner to support literary + book-related projects throughout Honolulu.

On March 13, join us to celebrate, support and fund literary and book-related projects in Honolulu. Throughout the evening, you'll enjoy soup by Dave Caldiero of Town, Kaimuki, and listen to three pitches on how to make our city more reader-friendly.

At the end of the evening, you vote for which project walks away with a community generated micro-grant! The project with the most votes gets the funds! $15 gets you soup, bread and a vote!

HI SOUP is a micro-granting dinner celebrating and supporting creative projects in Honolulu.

At the event, attendees eat, talk story, and vote on the project they believe benefits the community the most. At the end of the night, organizers tally the ballots and the winner goes home with all of the money raised to carry out their project.

We hope that HI SOUP can change the way people engage with the democratic process and increase community creativity, collaboration, change, democracy, trust, and fun!
