Stories of Youth with Disabilities
Event Information
About this event
DESCRIPTION
The Arlington Commission on Disability and True Story Theater offer a unique public forum open to all, featuring stories of youth living with disabilities so the wider community can acknowledge and learn from their experiences.*
In this community-building improvisational theater experience, personal stories from young people and other audience volunteers are respectfully dramatized in the moment as short theater pieces. People often experience deep, respectful listening, honest reflection, warmth, and insight as the actors strive to capture the heart of each story shared, with the audience as witness.
Come and share a moment from your life, or listen and watch as True Story’s actors creatively embody the essence of each story in dialogue, music, movement and song.
