Description

Join pianists and composers Starr Parodi (Steinway Artist) & Christine Brown (Kawai Artist) for an adventurous evening of solo piano.

Starr will be performing works from both Common Places and The Heart Of Frida. The Heart Of Frida was recently awarded "2017 Piano Album Of The Year - Solo" by the International Radio Broadcasters (ZMR) and is the much anticipated follow up to Starr's debut solo piano album, Common Places. Honored as Solo Piano Album of The Year in 2008 (solopianoradio.com), Common Places was lauded by KCRW's grammy nominated host Chris Douridas: "This deeply passionate and beautiful recording (Common Places) is one of the best albums of the year."

Oxford College Press author & Keyboard Magazine reviewer, Mark Vail, describes Starr Parodi's playing & musician this way: "Parodi's pianistic sense and delivery go way beyond creative. Words that come to mind while listening include imaginative, courageous, dynamic, passionate, gutsy, pensive, restrained, and euphoric. I'm thoroughly entranced by the whole experience.", Starr has reaffirmed her position as one of my all-time favorite musicians".

As a highly sought after composer for film, film trailers and other commissioned works, Starr's compositions can be heard on numerous films and film campaigns including : Rogue One (director's cut), Harry Potter, James Bond and many others.
