Live presentation of audio stories and writing projects created by veterans for the Creative Forces: NEA Military Healing Arts Network projects by Texas Folklife and VSA Texas. Free and open to the public with RSVP*!
Light appetizers and beverages will be served compliments of the Cultural Activities Center.
LOCATION: Cultural Activities Center, Wendland Hall
ADDRESS: 3011 N 3rd St, Temple, TX 76501
DIRECTIONS: From I-35 (North or South), exit 303 and follow signs to the facility. Park is free and open to the public. It's recommended to park on the north side of the building. ADA parking available. There will be signage throughout the facility to Wendland Hall.
SPECIAL GUESTS: The evening will also feature guest speakers military folklorists Eric Eliason and Tad Tuleja, co-editors of Warrior Ways: Explorations in Modern Military Folklore (2012), illuminating the ways in which members of the armed services creatively express the complex experience of military life.
