Causes - Ignorance, spite and lawyers
The Children's Act requires parents to choose a soft path in custody battles that excludes conflict, lawyers and litigation. This promotes mediation and mediators. Unethical lawyers and social workers in private practice have reacted to protect their incomes with a blackmarket litigation product called "the windmill". It makes money but is violent, destroys the family and causes parental alienation syndrome. It is common because the courts and family Advocate are fooled and it delivers results. The effects are catastrophic. It costs you your child, family, friends, house, job, income (and worse). It is illegal, but all too often, your own lawyer won't tell you about it or stop it because s/he is ignorant or also makes money out of it.
