Bleed Description: The Bleeding Control Basic (B-Con) Course is designed for individuals who have little or no medical training but who may be called upon as immediate responders to provide initial trauma care and bleeding control to a victim of traumatic injury prior to the arrival of emergency medical services (EMS) or in an austere environment. The B-Con course is a joint product of the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma and the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians’ Prehospital Trauma Life Support. Each student will be provided with a Bleeding Control Kit.
