Event description
This training will provide tools in order to recognize life-threatening bleeding in someone who is injured and skills to help save a life.

About this Event

The American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma is leading the effort to save lives by teaching individuals how to provide vital initial response to stop uncontrolled bleeding in emergency situations. These are great skills for day to day life. The majority of tourniquets applied in the state of Wisconsin were for industrial, farm, and household injuries.

The Bleeding Control Basics course gives participants the necessary tools to become an empowered initial responder. During the FREE Stop the Bleed training, you will learn how to recognize life-threatening bleeding and appropriate ways to stop the bleeding.

The help given by an immediate responder can often make the difference between life and death, even before professional rescuers arrive. With the right training, YOU can help save lives! This training is appropriate for ages 12 and up.

Training sponsored by the Dane County Sheriff's Office and Dane County Emergency Management . Contact Deputy Josalyn Longley longley@danesheriff.com or 608-977-1300 with any additional questions. Seats are limited please order your event brite ticket.
