Event Information
Description
Cost | Free
Event Description | During this hand-on workshop, participants will learn how to utilize mobile devices (tablets and cell phones) to seamlessly create fun and engaging animated films using stop-frame (also called stop-motion) animation. Feel free to bring props from your classroom to tailor you animation to course content. In the afternoon, we will explore how stop-frame animation can be integrated into your curriculum in a thoughtful and enriching fashion.
Background | Stop-frame animation is animation that is captured one frame at time, with physical objects that are moved between frames. When you play back the sequence of images rapidly, it creates the illusion of movement. (DragonFrame)
Skill Level | Beginner (no previous knowledge expected or needed)
Tablets will be provided to all participants. However, feel free to bring your own device in order to practice on a tablet/phone with which you are most familiar.
