Seva means "selfless service" or work offered to your higher power. We will greatly appreciate your participation as you join us for a beautiful fall weekend as the leaves begin to change and the air is crisp while you help with the "fall take-down" at Stonehouse Farm! This is a great opportunity to be outside, experience the seasonal transition, and be part of the Stonehouse Farm family.
As Stonehouse Farm continues to build its programs, we rely on the help of many, and your contributions this weekend are critical in helping us take care of the property for the winter. Registration for the event is required.
Each attendee must purchase an event ticket of $60. This only partially covers our costs for the meals and utilities, but in recognition of your assistance we promise to provide beautiful and delicious vegetarian meals, buffet style, to complement the hearty appetites that accompany outdoor work. Feel free to bring supplemental food and beverage to accommodate preferences and food sensitivies. Firewood and ice are sold in the general store if you prefer to bring a cooler and prepare meals with your own equipment.
Regular camping is free for the weekend, but if you prefer a bit of luxury, accommodation rentals, including glamping tents, RV sites, a tiny house, or even a furnished camper are available for an additional fee. To show our appreciation for your help, we have discounted the price of all housing upgrades. We do ask that you help us with the enormous task of closing the facility by bringing your own towels, sleeping bag and pillow, or rent them for $5 a piece.
Label and bring your tools if you have them! We’ll ask for your help with projects during the day, but make sure that there is time for you to take a yoga class, hike through the property, spin fire by the beach, and gather around the campfire at night.
We'll be cleaning, organizing, repairing, and packing equipment, tools, kitchenware, and furnishings. We have port-a-potties and furnishings to store, and buildings to seal up for the winter to come. Work projects will take place during the day, with time to do some yoga, hike through the property, or relax by the fire at night and, weather permitting, gaze at the stars. Delicious vegetarian meals are provided for a nominal fee, but feel free to bring supplemental food and beverage. Campfire areas are available; firewood and ice are available for sale.
If you would like to contribute to the weekend through skill-sharing—lead a yoga class, kirtan, ceremony, wisdom talk, nature class, or provide bodywork for the Seva weekend, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
