Event description

Description

The Stomp Out Sickle Cell Move-On Event is a fun family experience hosted by Howard University Center for Sickle Cell Disease, in conjunction with Faces of Our Children, Inc., on Saturday, September 21, 2019. The event will be held on the Howard University Hospital Plaza with activities, games, and prizes.

While the event is fun, the purpose is serious – to increase awareness about sickle cell disease and to raise money to continue our fight to stomp out sickle cell for the more than 10,000 adults and children living with sickle cell disease in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia and the over 100,000 people affected by sickle cell trait in the United States.

Register and select your own way to Move-On for one hour, from 10 - 11 AM:

  • SOS WALK/RUN with Howard University President Wayne A. I. Frederick (See below)
  • SOS Zumba for cardio and fun
  • SOS Boot Camp for strength training
  • SOS Kid Zone for ages 5 - 12! [space is limited!!]

Registration is only $20 and includes the 2019 SOS Move-On Visor!
