Join the Food Safety Doctor LLC in St. Louis Mo, November 19-21. 2019 for a 2.5 day, FSPCA Preventive Controls for Human Foods Qualified Individual (PCQI) course.

During this 20-hour session, participants will gain an understanding of how to develop a food safety plan using the Hazard Analysis and Risk-Based Preventive Controls methodology required under the United States Food and Drugs Administration’s (FDA) Food Safety Modernization Act (U.S-FSMA)

YOUR INSTRUCTOR:

Dr. Derrick Payne is a Food Safety and Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA) Lead Instructor, with over 25 years of experience in the development, implementation, and management of regulatory and GFSI compliant global food safety and quality systems at companies like Coca-Cola, Tate & Lyle and Ralston Foods. Among his numerous academic credential, Dr. Payne also holds a Masters of Science in Food Safety from Michigan State University and a doctorate in Public Health (Epidemiology) from Walden University with a specialization in foodborne illnesses.

YOU SHOULD ATTEND IF YOU ARE:

  • Wishing to gain an in-depth understanding of the Hazard Analysis and Risk-Based Preventive Controls methodology
  • Planning to implement a U.S. FSMA compliant food safety plan
  • Wishing to serve as the Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) in a facility that processes foods or food ingredients to be shipped to the United States.
  • You are already involved with the development, support or implementation of a U.S.-FSMA compliant food safety plan
  • New to your roles at locations where a U.S.-FSMA-compliant food safety plan will be developed and implemented
  • A food safety auditor or consultant at facilities that process or packages foods or food ingredients for shipment to the United States.

Notes to Participants

  • Although experience in the food industry is NOT required to take this course, it is recommended that participants have some knowledge of the food processing before taking this course.
  • The Danforth University Center (DUC) Garage is located under the Danforth University Center

    Visitor Parking

    • Daily visitor parking is available on the first level or the ramp down to the second level.
    • Pulled tickets must be displayed on vehicle dashboard.
    • Payment is made upon exiting via the pay station lane (cash or credit card) or via the attendant lane (cash or credit card).
    • Garage Rates

      • 0-2 hours: $2.00
      • 2-4 hours: $4.00
      • 4-6 hours: $6.00
      • 6-10 hours: $9.00
      • Lost ticket fee: $25.00

      Hours deducted per visitor hourly charge schedule (7 a.m. to 5 p.m., M-F). Accepted forms of payment: cash, debit and major credit cards. Note: Only credit cards are accepted at the West Campus Garage.

    – Days 1 & 2: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
    – Day 3: 8:30 am to 12:00 pm
  • Follows FSPCA approved curriculum, taught by lead instructors

  • Official FSPCA certificates of completion for active participants
