Our Topic: Common Meditation Misconceptions:

You'll walk-away 'freshly" meditated and beginning to grok:

  1. Why focus-based and non self-directed styles of meditation yield vastly different levels of physiological rest
  2. Why a "wandering mind" in meditation results in highly efficient brain functioning
  3. Pitfalls of a D.I.Y. approach to meditation

When: 8:50 AM - 10:00 AM, 1st and 3rd Thursdays

== > Arrive by 8:50. We'll meditate promptly at 9:00 AM. If you arrive late you're welcome to come in quietly and join us for meditation (If it's wet outside take off your shoes inside the door.)

First, we'll meditate (no experience needed, a simple yet effective technique will be offered)

It is my delight to offer you this experience reliably "rain or shine" so that you might come to relish in regular communion with and support from, others who are as committed to their evolution as you are.

Over tiime we'll de-mystify meditation. We'll survey the varied styles of meditation gaining popularity and their differing physiological effects on the body and the brain.

An bi-monthly, drop-in intro to meditation meeting - 1st & 3rd Thursdays. After we meditate together, we'll have a short Knowledge Talk exploring life themes and meditation practices for the modern mind .

Arrive 15 minutes early, we'll meditate together promptly at 9:00 AM.

You're welcome to bring your own chair our cushion (comfort in the body is encourage, back supported is optimal for this style of meditation.)

Why: to gather in a safe, sacred space, in support of our personal evolution. We'll harness the potency of eyes-closed meditation to restore equilibrium in support of our personal and collective evolution.
