Still Living History: The Still Living Movement advocates for Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Awareness Month (every year in April). April is a desginated time to bring more attention to SAAM (Nationally). The still living movment provides workshops, seminars and small group discussions about Sexual Assault and Child Abuse. Learn more about the SAAM Statisitcs below:
1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men experience violence from their partners in their lifetimes. 1 in 3 teens experience sexual or physical abuse or threats from a boyfriend or girlfriend in one year. 1 in 5 women are survivors of rape. 1 in 2 women and 1 in 5 men have experienced some form of sexual violence in their lives. 1 in 4 women and 1 in 6 men were sexually abused before the age of 18. We cannot stop sexual and child abuse if we continue to shy away from speaking about the topic. It is time we get the conversation "running"! Join us today by sharing this event with others in your community.
Thanks for supporting the 3rd Annual Still Living 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, May 6th at 9am.
