This intimate exhibition celebrates the quiet resilience of an artist and a community.
Over the past few years, Chinatown has faced many challenges—from COVID and anti-Asian violence to the closure of beloved local businesses, leaving behind shuttered storefronts. During this time, artist Paul Leung lost his wife. Encouraged by his daughter to visit a local senior center, Paul rediscovered his lifelong passion for drawing with the guidance of a retired art professor.
Through his drawings, Paul reflects on loss, endurance, and the traces of everyday life that define a neighborhood. His work honors not only his personal journey but also the spirit of Chinatown itself.
Curated by Ken Leung.
