Event description
MaRS invites you to the next instalment of our Mastering Talent series

About this Event

If employment law, compliance and human rights aren’t part of your product roadmap, it’s time to add them to your strategy, because a lack of legal and compliance knowledge can quickly derail operations and cost your startup scarce time and money. And if HR legalese sounds dull, think back on some of 2019’s biggest tech headlines (hint: many of them were not enviable) and you’ll likely change your mind.

This February 25, MaRS invites you to the next instalment of our Mastering Talent series, Sticky Situations: Employment law fundamentals for startups

This event will help you:

  • get ahead of potential sticky situations with a preparatory understanding of the legal landscape;
  • mitigate some of the “predictable unpredictability” typical of the tech world;
  • learn about the most common missteps made by early-stage employers;
  • develop strategies to best navigate the law as an employer; and
  • network with fellow entrepreneurs and tech-community peers.
