BIO

Steve Rodgers, is a life long, nationally recognized songwriter, musician, miniatures artist & entrepreneur. Most recently, other than spending time in the recording studio, Steve has begun to explore art through nature, using natural, materials, as well as continuing to build highly detailed miniatures and upcycled art & decor.

Steve spent fifteen years championing the music and art of others, at the nationally, and locally respected community music venues he founded and directed (The Space in Hamden CT and its Sister Venue The Ballroom at The Outer Space.) Steve gave people young and old alike a platform to express themselves through music, art and spoken word. The venues no longer exist however the spirit within the community which Steve created, has had fractal effects across the world spreading joy through music & the arts. Steve spent his youth as the front man and ring leader for the band Mighty Purple, who toured nationwide as well as parts of Europe. After 20 years of making music with Mighty Purple, Steve and his brother & Jon now seperated by 3000 miles reunite with their band members a couple of times a year to play Mighty Purple songs in New Haven and beyond

After his many years of service to The CT music and arts community, Steve has quietly been creating an arsenal of of miniature art as well as a body of new songs, He and his band Arms and Voices have just finished a new album which will be released on April 19, 2019 at a community minded venue in New Haven CT called “The State House”. Steve will be touring throughout 2019 sharing his music and uplifting vibes at listening venues, festivals, unique places and house concerts.

He is a homeschool dad to his two children Fable and River. He and his wife Jesse create art in their home and in their small barn; which Steve made from 85% recycled and found materials. Steve also builds highly realistic miniatures such as custom fairy houses, dollhouses, dioramas, miniature train layouts, and more all of Steve's art is for sale or commissioned for custom pieces.

Come hear Steve and his band mates , Jonny Rodgers, Seth Adam, David Keith, Adrian Van de Graaff, Ben Dean & more on April 19 at The State House in New Haven. on this rare and special evening The Band will play new songs and will also dig into some of the extensive catalogue of 20 years worth of Mighty Purple songs.
