Event Details

Join the Sterling Heights Firefighters for an evening of laughs to support local charities.  Doors open at 6pm on January 27th, 2017 at the American Polish Century Club with open deluxe bar throughout the night and dinner served at 7pm.  There will be a 50/50 raffle, deck of cards raffle and bag raffle through the evening.  At 8pm the laughs start.  Local comedian Russ Brown has helped book 3 very funny comedic talents.

Melvin Bender:
The only way to explain Mels comedy is straight from the hip.  He has opened for acts such as Cedric The Entertainer, Damon Wayens, Dave Coulier, D.L Hugley and many more. His goal is to become one of the funniest comics in the country and it doesn’t™ look like he will stop until he gets there.

Shane McConnaghy:
Stationed in Europe while serving in the United States Air Force Shane learned how to be funny without being verbal. He was first influenced by comic greats such as Richard Pryor and Steve Martin.  Recently named one of the Funniest People in America by L.A. Weekly, he is a comic whose star is on the rise. Shane’s standup is a compilation of cleverly written material with an animated delivery.

Auggie Smith:
When Auggie takes the stage audiences across the country quickly realize that they’re in for an evening of riveting, take-no-prisoners stand-up comedy. During Auggie’s set pop culture and political targets are dissected piece by piece into intelligently written manic rants.  He has spent most of the last two decades keeping a constant road schedule honing his craft and creating a truly memorable, relevant, and constantly evolving live experience.

All event proceeds will go to local charities such as C.A.R.E House, Rainbow Connection, MDA and more.

Any individuals or business owners that would like to donate goods or services to be raffled off at the event to help raise money please contact the event organizer.

Sterling Heights Firefighters Charities is a 501(c)3 organization.
