Event description
Stephanie Dray, author of The Women of Chateau Lafayette - a virtual event

About this Event

The Lynden Sculpture Garden, Milwaukee Reads, and Boswell Book Company present an evening with Stephanie Dray, author of THE WOMEN OF CHATEAU LAFAYETTE, an epic generational saga, based on the true story of an extraordinary castle in the heart of France and the remarkable women bound by its legacy in some of humanity’s darkest hours.

Based on a true story, Dray brings to vibrant life the story of Chateau de Chavaniac and the Lafayette Preventorium, where socialite Beatrice Chanler cared for 25,000 children between 1917 and 1960 and hid Jewish children during WWII

Stephanie Dray is a bestselling author of historical fiction. Her award-winning novels includes My Dear Hamilton and America's First Daughter, both cowritten by Laura Kamoie. Dray was also featured in Ribbons of Scarlet, a Lynden Sculpture Garden event which featured Kamoie and two other contributors.

Tickets are $5, or you can upgrade to the book-with-admission for $27. Sales tax and ticket fee extra. $5 from each ticket will be donated back to the Lynden Sculpture Garden.
