Stephan Hausner – Illness & Health in Constellation Work
Saturday and Sunday 11th and 12th March 2017
Supporting our health and well-being, at the deepest level, can be a complex and multi-layered issue. There are many reasons why, despite great medical skill or the use of well-chosen alternative therapies, we do not find alleviation.
Stephan Hausner has made the understanding of health and well being his life’s work. In the early 1990s he encountered Systemic Constellation Work and since then he has used the lens of this work in his practice and has transformed the way ‘health’ is understood.
In his book ‘Even If It Costs Me My Life: Systemic Constellations and Serious Illness” published in 2011, Stephan explores the impact of unconscious familial bonds and loyalties, and how these loyalties can influence and undermine our health. His work shows that illness cannot be reduced to the personal phenomenon of the patient, and that the solution or healing for sick people may only unfold when their symptoms or illnesses are considered as embedded in a larger sometimes trans-generational context of the family.
Stephan’s work has enormous relevance and importance for everyone working or involved in the field of Systemic Constellation Work, and we are delighted to welcome him back to the UK to run our 2017 international Speaker event in London.
