Description

MUSCATINE AREA WOMEN INVITED TO “STEP UP!”

A state-wide initiative to help more women become politically engaged is bringing a training seminar to Muscatine and YOU ARE INVITED .

“Step Up!” a project of 50-50 in 2020 in collaboration with the Carrie Chapman Catt Center at ISU, will be held Friday, October 20, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Rendezvous, 3127 Lucas Street.

The “Step Up!” seminar, which targets locally-elected women, offers training that helps them lay the groundwork for a successful campaign for the state legislature. Experienced political candidates and campaign staff will share their advice and best practices with seminar participants. The event in Muscatine is one of four that 50-50 in 2020 is holding this fall around the state, one in each Congressional district. A $30 fee covers the cost of lunch and the seminar notebook.
