Join David's Hope - Arizona Mental Health Criminal Justice Coalition at the intersection of mental health and criminal justice for our two day summit including our 3rd annual "Crisis Response Officer of Distinction" Law Enforcement Awards. Summit registration includes entrance to the awards luncheon on June 9 with no need to purchase a separate luncheon ticket. Support law enforcement officers from around the state, who will be honored for their outstanding response to individuals in mental health crisis. Awards luncheon will take place on June 9 at 12:15p. Keynote presenter will be the Honorable Judge Steven Leifman, winner of the 2015 William H. Rehnquist award for judicial excellence. Judge Leifman will be presenting and interacting with our conference participants throughout this two day event along with his Miami - Dade County Superior Court team members Cindy Schwartz, Project Director Jail Diversion and Peer Specialist Justin Volpe. Judge Leifman and his team will be sharing with us the best practices which have helped them establish an amazing track record of success in the 11th Judicial Circuit of Florida, which has become a model nationwide.
June 9, 6:30-830p We will be offering a free evening session focused on statewide practices involving response to mental health crisis by law enforcement and first responders. Registration is available on our registration link for this evening session, without cost to participants. Presentations will be made by Sgt. Jason Winsky - Tucson Police Department, Tracey Wilkinson - Scottsdale Police Department and Sarah Schol - Crisis Response Network. Open dialogue and Q&A will follow presentations. This session is open to the public but requires registration of participants who are not already registered as attendees of the two day summit.

The guide was created by a committee consisting of national mental health criminal justice experts including Judge Leifman and Dr. Margery Balfour, who will both be participating with us in this great event.

Participants will showcase the various modalities of crisis response being used in their regions to respond to those in mental health crisis. Free admission this session only, open to all.
