STEAM Kids Lab is excited to host an Hour of Code in collaboration with Goldman Sachs!
The week of December 5-11 2016 has been named Computer Science Education Week! This is a great opportunity to try out coding if you have not done so before and if you have coded before we can offer you some new challenges to accomplish. Learning to code is important because it sharpens problem solving skills and creativity. 86% of employment in the 21st century will be in computer science,no matter what industry you may work in. These are high paying, creative positions that will be available in abundance for those individuals who are trained. Starting at a young age is key to success.
STEAM Kids Lab mission is to present these courses in a fun way bringing STEM and the Arts together.
Students will choose from a wide variety of fun topics including music, animations, game design with Minecraft, Scratch,Tykner and programming with Python.
Volunteer Mentor software engineers from Goldman Sachs will devote their time to teach and share their experiences. This special event give youth awareness of the many career choices open to them generally in STEM/STEAM fields and at Goldman Sachs specifically.

Bring your laptops, charger or tablet, IPad, cellphone Android and IOS devices all are welcomed to do the Hour of Code!
