J Rêve International STEAM+ is proud to announce a conference program to better prepare educators, students and governments for growing intellectual demands, student performance, and creative thinking.
STEAM+ Arts Integration is a Professional Development program taking place in Washington, DC, July 28-30th, 2017 to encourage arts education and integration in multi-subject education.
The conference will comprise series of presentation, visits to cultural and education institutions, roundtable discussions, workshops and panel discussions on STEAM+ education and arts integration. The STEAM+ program will feature a collaboration of interdisciplinary educators, policy-makers, and artists to deliberate and explore productive ways of incorporating art themes into interdisciplinary education.
According to Irina Bokova, Director-General of UNESCO, “Education is a basic human right and the foundation for more sustainable, inclusive and just development.” In other words, the importance of education cannot be over-emphasized. In the words of William Bennett, former US Secretary of Education, “The arts are an essential element of education, just like reading, writing, and arithmetic, music, dance, painting, and theater are all keys that unlock profound human understanding and accomplishment.”
