Ask Me About…Career Advancement Through Personal Branding
“A friend of mine recently went to a conference where attendees’ name tags included the phrase, ‘Ask me about… [then the answer attendees provided when registering].’
The idea was to have something to talk about right off the bat when networking with other attendees. What I great idea, I thought. I’m doing that at my conference!
But then I realized something bigger: That the whole concept of personal branding and career advancement was summarized by that simple statement, “Ask me about…”
How do you introduce yourself to others in our field? How do you explain what you do to people outside our field?
Does your boss’s boss think of your department as saving the company money, or a burdensome commodity to be acquired at the lowest possible price given an acceptable level of quality?
What are you doing to promote your corporate value?
What should people ask you about…?”
Join us on September 18th as returning favorite Jack Molisani presents a new twist on the traditional idea of personal branding, and how minor tweaks to your personal branding can have a huge effect on your career trajectory.
Want to take your career to the next level?
