Event description

Description

The Special Collections department of the Kislak Center for Special Collections, Rare Books, and Manuscripts at the University of Pennsylvania is opening up its archives for a special "pop-up event" exclusively for the STC-PMC.

We'll be guided through an assortment of rare documents that show the evolution and history of technical documentation led by Senior Curator, Lynne Farrington with help from Valeria Kremser and John Pollack. There will be a little bit of everything showing among other things, the impact of typography and cryptography, and a good assortment of documents varying from instructional manuals on a variety of topics, policy and procedure documents, and old tech manuals through history. It's a great opportunity to see where we've come from, and how far we've progressed!

This is a FREE event, but you must RSVP here on Eventbrite to be on the guest list to access the building. RSVP by January 8th at noon!
