Are you curious to learn more about implicit bias and how it may impact your ability to stay neutral in your mediations? The facilitators will lead interactive presentations and exercises to raise awareness about where biases come from – essentially, a form of mental shortcut that we all engage in as well as discussion of stereotypes each of us has encountered in the way we are viewed by others. In addition to awareness raising exercises, the facilitators will share strategies to address implicit bias and provide opportunities for participants to apply these ideas in mediation scenarios.

This is a collaborative event between the Social Justice Mediation Program at the Vital Village Network and the Boston Law Collaborative.
