Event description

Description

Be prepared this winter, look after yourself and your family. Learn to grow, harvest and make a traditional elderberry syrup to assist you and your family to swiftly recover from colds, coughs and flu. A demonstration including some useful tips; that work really well for me and a recipe will be provided for your learning. Each participant will take home an Elderberry cutting with instructions on how to grow, harvest and use this amazing medical herb. There has been plenty of research carried out on this plant, all reaffirming the many wonderful health benefits and no wonder Hippocrates 'father of medicine' referred to the elderberry - Sambucus nigra as the medicine chest.

You will also learn to identify different types of coughs, the difference between a cold and flu, what to do with earaches, ear infections, blocked sinus, sore throat and which herbs would be appropriate for you to use safely and effectively.

YOU WILL LEARN TO:

Identify the elderberry plant

Grow and harvest, from a cutting

Make elderberry syrup

Dosage and safety

Difference between a cold and the flu

Distinguish different types of coughs

Use appropriate herbal remedies

INCLUDED:

Notes and copy of PowerPoint

Cutting of the elderberry - Sambucus nigra to take home

Hope you can join us for an informative, herbal fun evening aimed at empowering you and your family to make better health choices. A small range of Patrizia's local organic herbal remedies will be available to purchase on the night.
