The swim will proceed in a counter clockwise direction around Liberty Island. Swimmers will be accompanied by kayakers to ensure safety and an optimal experience of this unique perspective on a world reknowned landmark.

Course: Around the Statue of Liberty, outside of the safety perimeter, starting and finishing south of the statue.

Experience Requirements: Open water swim experience and willingness to follow kayak escort required. Swimmers must be prepared to jump into the Hudson River from a small motorboat, and reboard by climbing a ladder back on to a motorboat.
